During stressful times the way you deal with it can affect you and your loved ones. If you had a bad day at work then the commute home stinks, the weather isn’t to your liking, maybe the garbage cans weren’t brought in. This starts a whirl wind of emotions. If you aren’t in the right state of mind you aren’t as happy to see your partner, or your kids. Your attitude is down in the dumps and this vicious cycle continues. You mind races at night and you don’t get a good nights sleep, which we all know is crucial to being healthy.

The next morning starts out worse then the night before and you are dealing with all the problems you face in a negative way. The negative mind set will attract more negative vibes and all you see are problems and stress. The way to snap out of this cycle is to see what started this moderate stress and face it head on. You have to get your mind right. You have to find a way to break the stress cycle. I am a huge fan of communicating my stresses but found that talking to the wrong person can fuel the stress more than help it.

I sought out a therapist to help me during my stressful times. Kept the therapist through the good times as well so we can reflect on how everything is going and actually find the triggers that cause my moderate stress. Its not like the older days when you saw a therapist because something was wrong with you. Think of it like going for a check up at the doctor.

Your brain is a very powerful tool. If you can figure out how to use your brain effectively you will find that it can promote success and happy feelings. It can point you in the right direction and you start to see how great your life is. If used incorrectly it will point to all the troubles and heartache you had. It attracts what you think about. Ever think about buying a car and next thing you know all you see is that car on the road. It words the same with negative thoughts as well. If you are thinking about stress you will find more stress. The cycle begins without you even knowing it.

Find a therapist and a program that can help you get what you want out of life. They are trained professionals who when you are completely honest with will guide you to what you really want. They will set up goals and give you reading materials to help promote a healthy mindset. A once a week check in with someone who cares about your mental health should be on your priority list.

Why should you focus on mental health?

Your mind controls so much of your body functions. If you think positive thoughts you tend to be a positive person. The positivity attracts other positive people and feelings. You are surrounded by good people and good thoughts. Switch that around and it works the same way. moderate stress will attract other moderate stress. Next thing you know you are engulfed in stress and that isn’t healthy. Think about the people around you, if you are in a stressful state people can pick up on our vibes and you can subject the people around you into a stressful state. How about your children? Do you need them to be stressed out?

Can moderate stress cause health problems?

The answer quite simply is yes! Stress has been known to cause headaches, muscle aches and even digestive issues. Stress over time can harm you from unrecoverable states. You think its only mild but over time it can at you from the outside in. Think about it like brushing your teeth. If you brush daily your teeth stay healthy. That’s a non stressful life if everyday is good and calm. Miss a day or two nothing bad will really happen. But what if it becomes a day or 2 a week. That’s over 100 times in a year you didn’t brush. That is a call to the dentist isn’t it? What if your stress compounded like that? Every tine you have a mild stress attack and you let it build you will be in some serious health problems.

Bottom line go talk to a professional to help you with your moderate stress and see the difference you stress free life can be!
